Mezzanine
A full-width mezzanine floor in any bay —
beams, joists, deck & support posts. Check the bays that get one:

Columns apart — blank = the bay
Columns stand on the slab and stop under the floor — they carry the
mezzanine, not the roof. Rafters run the length between them, trusses run across on top
at 2' o.c., and the deck rides the trusses — plywood direct, or steel pan with 3½" of
finished concrete poured into it (priced at your concrete rates). Truss depth, deck
gauge and pad size are all called out on the estimate and the footing sheet.
The engineer of record confirms member sizes.
Exterior stairs
A stair up the outside of a wall to the
upper floor — channel stringers, checkered-plate treads, landing and pipe rail both sides.
Tick “door at the top” and it puts the door in the wall where the stair lands.
Concrete
Slab, turndown footing, column pads, rebar,

Erection
We put the building up. Ticking this is what
turns the printed paper into an ETC proposal instead of a materials quote.
Structure
Rigid bases stiffen the frame (~4× less drift, easier H/200) but put
moment into the footings — more anchors, pads see eccentric bearing. Simple bases keep
the footings light; drift is carried by the frame alone. Flows through 🏗 Building
Design, 🔩 CN-3 and the 🧱 pad notes.
Trusses swap the solid tapered rafters for open-web steel trusses —
about 15% less rafter steel, same columns and purlins. Shown in framing view.
Replaces the Z-purlins and girts with 20 ga 50 ksi hat channel rows
at the picked centers — roof and walls. Shown in framing view.
Tightens the roof purlins from 5' to 2' centers so the roof can be sheathed with ZIP board or plywood. Lighter gauge at the close spacing. Shown in framing view.
Puts crane runway brackets on every column line, runway rails down
both sidewalls, and the bridge crane with hoist & end trucks. Priced on the quote;
crane loads on the frames verified by engineering. Shown in framing view.
Raise or lower the crane — slides the runway rails up and down the
columns; auto parks them 2'-6" under the eave.
Check the bays the crane runs through (numbered front→back) — rails
& brackets only span those bays. Nothing checked = the full building.
ZIP under the roof panels, priced per sq ft with the sheet count on the quote — turns on the 2' purlins it fastens to. Wall framing, studs & ZIP are picked per wall with the wall panels in the Panels section.
Bracing
X-braces are the economical choice for open bays; use a portal frame where a door needs the bay clear. Sidewall-braced bays get roof X-bracing automatically; add roof X-braces to any other bay (numbered front→back). Shown in framing view.
